Hey guys, i have a few dents (scrapes) in my car, and a few scratches also, some where the paint has completely been sliced off, and a small amount of rust has started to build.

I was just wondering, whats the best way i can remove the dents, AND fix scratches. Im on a low budget at the moment and need to find the most efficient way.

Also im not too good with this stuff, so details would be really appreciated. And hopefully with the help i get, i can restore my baby back to mint condition again :)

Thanks :D

depends on your colour and the depth of the dents.

black is a bitch (just ask me). White is waaaay easy and silver also not too bad.

Honestly you cant go past a good dent popped and detailing job performed by a professional. Especially if the dents are as strong as you have indicated and also you have rust begining.

I just had a monster 50c piece sized dent popped professionally. Cant even see any trace of it anymore and that is on a black car n the dent was on a very visible section.

Good luck

try and find a good paintless dent removal (PRD) person in your area, let them fix as much as they can and then head to a panel beater for a quote.

If you're down to bare metal unfortunately it's paint time. Depending on how fussy you are/how big the affected area is, you can try a local touch-up or you'll have to respray and depending what part of the car, the panel beater will have to blend in the new paint to the rest of the car.

Very important you find a good panel beater

Hey thanks for your help :) i got a quote today to fix everything on my car, and it was close to $2000, but that included painting scratches on the bumper and a large scrape which needs to be filled. But just to fix the dents it cost $450 alone. So idk whether to just get the dents done, and bog and respray the scrapes and larger dents. I cant afford 2 grand. so thats looking pretty good.

I would highly recommend provident crash repair at magill. Friendly service, flawless colour match and they have a few imports go through so they understand our passion. Also no unexplained added kilometres to the odo which I am always very anxious about..

they might not have to blend it if taken to a crash shop, it all depends on how well they can colour match + if its a metallic then it will need to be blended. just giving my 2cents as im in the crash repair industry
