What Type Of Traffic Camera Is This?

The camera in question is on the intersection of Blaxland Rd and May St, Eastwood, NSW.

Can anyone shed some light as to what sort of camera it is (circled in red)? Traffic flow, Safety, Red light or Speed camera?

You can use Google's Street view to see the camera as there is another one facing the opposite direction.

Definately not speed or red light related.

Our speed/saftey cams use sensors in the road.

However there is a new safty cam that has popped up on blaxland road near where dan murphys is, going down the hill. Not sure if it is operational yet but it used to be an old school red light cam.

I think it's a laser camera. if you are speeding it burns a hole in your sump (bounces off the road under your car) so it blows it and you can't speed in your speed mobile.
