Batteries

Hey guys. My battery suddenly died so i'm wondering what batteries you guys recommend for me to change to. It's for an R32 GTS-T but surely they're all the same.

I originally bought a Century NS40ZL as recommended off the site but it just doesn't seem to be the right one. Usually the sticker is supposed to be facing the front of the car. When I turn the battery 180 degrees the terminals are on the opposite ends (positive faces fender instead of engine).

Now i've heard of this 'dry cell' type and that it's a lot better in terms of endurance, CCA, reliability, and weight. Who has one and where did you get them from? Looking to do track work sometime soon.

Dimensions for the R32 GTS-T battery: 195mm x 127mm x 220mm. Looks roughly like 2 tissue boxes stacked vertically side by side.

Yeah but you got an R33 which the battery is in the boot and you have like unlimited space lol.

it's the same size as a normal battery.... main reason i got it is cos it can lie on it's side, which is how i have it mounted to fit under my 6x9's

Alright found out the problem was not the battery. It was something that is draining it even when the car is full turned off. When driving it feels like it's gonna cut out so i'm thinking it's the alternator that is not recharging the battery enough, but how can a faulty alternator drain power even when everything is off? I've tried a new battery inside and still same problem. Thoughts anyone?

my battery died for he first timeever the other day, car wasn't driven for a couple of weeks and when it was at the panel beaters in the dark we noticed that the boot light was not turning off... solution.... remove boot light

Nope it wasn't any lights. It turns out to be te alternator. Surprised because who woulda thought a dodgey alternator would still sap power from the battery when all power is off...

i wouldn't be too concerned about which way the sticker is facing, however if you are, you could get the century NS40Z. it's the same battery as what you have but with the terminals reversed.
