Yeah true, I agree with you about the restriction side of things but from what I e seen these things are on full song by 3500, earlier with cam gear.

Hardly laggy really. Not having a go dude I agree with all that you have said, just trying to put your mind at ease a bit.

These are widely regarded as the "best" turbo you can get if you want a quick and responsive rb25

If you do decide to go the 3" route please let me know how it ends up and f you think its worth it as I might do the same. I'm still seriously considering getting the die grinder out and cleaning up the inside of the pipe a bit for less turbulence, do you think it's worth it???

The mechanic I use always tidies up the pipe with a die grinder before fitting so it should be worth your while.

yeah by all means tidy it up a bit. but I wouldn't bother modding it extensively. plenty of people using them and they work very well and produce good results. they may not be the prettiest but the dump seems to work well with the turbo.
