There's a reason everyone swaps out the engine...

Not wanting to kill your hopes and dreams, but all you can really do with N/As is change headers/exhaust/intake/ignition/earthing/capacity/displacements/timing/gearbox/weight.

Do what you want though. Turbo or N/A, what's it for? Drift?

i just thought having non-u.s. thoughts could have helped especially when it came to the rb motor, considering you guys can have skylines and we don't(it's rare but some do), pretty jealous about that, just wish i could have an r32 and call it a day. thanks for the responses, guess i just have to ponder on it.

Can't you import one?

Which was Americas way of saying fuck you for Pearl Harbour :whistling:

Not surprising he is asking for info here, we've done more Skylines and Silvias than America has. SR20 conversion is the best thing for your vehicle OP. It's a factory engine, been done plenty of times and there are plenty of parts available.

if you liked it (n/a) you should have put an LS1 on it ;)

(i'm serious for N/A powaaah)

Good point. Lots of alloy chev engines in the USA. The alloy V8s are also lighter than the RB too.

Or go the VQ35DE engine or if really keen go the VQ37.

Yep go a LS1/2. Pretty sure you can get bolt in kits for them in the US (saw them ages ago). Given how cheap they are over there and are a lot lighter than a RB it would be the best choice for something NA and slightly different.
