The GF and I are moving back to Sth Brissie in a couple of weeks, so I thought I'd better remove some cop eye candy, should they be in a defective mood, this meant ditching my Turbosmart BOV and return to the factory BOV.

So after getting the old BOV hole welded back up, and reconnecting the factory hoses, resetting the ECU, I took her for a spin... And what difference it made, the car is certainly less responsive right after gear changes, its probably a couple of hundred revs lower once the clutch is let out, thus the turbo is taking a tad longer to spool up.

Anyone who says aftermarket BOV's dont make difference, is kidding themself, 'cause it certainly made a noticable difference on my setup...

I miss my 'pssscchht' :)

I lose hardly any revs if i do the old flat shift with the stockie BOV. But of course you can't do that often when driving in traffic.

You'd probably get away with it in Brisbane I think as long as you didn't rev it into every gear, especially when going right past cops :D
