Strange Oil Pressure Prob

i have no oil pressure at all and cannot figure out why. i have a brand new stock sender. the stock light/gauge definately work because when u earth them they come on straight away. is there a fuse that could be blown somewhere ? i do not have the oil temp hooked up as i just put an oil sensor adapter plate on, and the thread did not match. could this do it ? and act as a positive or somethin ? farked if i know .....

How do you know the new sensor isn't broken?

Could be faulty.

Try a mechanical gauge tester. Make sure there is oil pressure.

dvs there is definately oil pressure its been running for ages and it was all working b4 i pulled everythin down. k ill try a mech gauge.

nismoid the old oil sender does not work and neither did the tridon one i brought, so somethin sus is happenin. im gonna try earth the sandwich plate. is there anywhere in particular that the sender should go on the sandwich plate ? there were 3 on there all the same thread.

The GTR pressure senders are known to play up, mine showed no pressure, put another in and its all good.

My $80 oil pressure gauge from supercheap works a farken treat. So simple and reliable!

done !!! was an earth !! earthed from sandwich plate to the strut brace/coilover nut and perfect now. wow very poorly earthed. i suspect that the oil temp sensor was acting as an earth.

yeah sounds right...I had to run a seperate earth on mine too. most sandwich plates run an o-ring to the block so they are not earthed.

were u runnin the factory oil temp sensor ?

yes but not in the standard location, i run a remote filter and oil cooler
