Tv Tuners Once Again - The New Asuka

just had ago at trying to tune in line of sight with the tv tower but doesnt seem to pick anything up still.. but SBS/TVS pick up strong

i may just keep the unit for USB but nothing seems to come up when i put my USB in. am i cursed?

does it take any format fat32? NTFS? they're just regular 8GB kingston sticks

Fat 32 works fine with mine. Haven't tried ntfs.

I have one tuner left in stock, so I just set it up on a jury rig to see what sort of reception I got in various configurations.

With 1 antenna attached and not powered I picked up SBS in about 4 variations.

with 2 antenna attached there was no change.

with 2 antenna attached a 12v powered I got around 25 channels. (all the major ones)

From that I would assume that you have some issue with power to your antenna's.

BUT to sort this out I suggest you remove the unit, bring it to my place in West Ryde and I will test the unit on the jury rig.

Did you make sure its set for the right region? I have picked up some channels when searching on other country before.

i just reformatted the USB to FAT32 and works, confirmed it plays MPEG4, AVI, MKV but not MPEG or FLV

Andy, i'll probably give you a call sometime, i sms'd you yesterday about the antennas and checking the unit
