Ok peoples,

So got this really annoying problem I am trying to ID. When trying to start my ride the ignition has to be turned on and off like 10 times to get it to turn over. It used to make the starter motor clicking noise every time then after a few fire. Now it plays dead sometimes for 10-20 turns then makes the starter click noise before firing.

Any ideas? I though starter motor so I replaced that. Does exactly the same thing. Could it be the actual ignition barrel/key?

Anyways any ideas would be appreciated. Kinda dont mind trouble shooting issues but having the amount of knowledge avaliable here hoping someone can point me at the right direction.

Thanks in Advance!

im not sure exactly what you mean, but my r33 used to turn over, then conk out, then keep turning over, then conk out again, sometimes it would take ages for it to start, others it'd start first go. most of the time i had to give it some taps of the throttle to get it to start, turned out it was my CAS. but as i said, im not exactly sure what your cars doing by what you said. good luck

The clicking noise is the solenoid of the starter motor ramming the starter out to connect with the flywheel. If the battery is too dead to crank it will just click loud and fast (the solenoid shooting out then dropping back in numerous times a second) Occasionally the motor might crank but I'd be checking battery first. Then starter motor connections.
