yeah the 180 will beat the 33 with the same mods, same as silvia k with same mods, it will beat the 33, but only just, by jack shit margin

forget mods, get a car for 19500 instead, much better quality, for that much should land u a 1994/1995 series 1.5 model instead of a 1993 model for 16500

worry about mods later on

any 1994 or 1995 model will most likely come with some mods, ie zorst, pod filter ,boost controller etc.. very rarely stock

well i dont know which insurance companys ur going through bu i have had my perants ring up and they have said that the premium increases because im on the insurance but it does not put me on first because all of my brothers are on it, the premium will obviously suck but its certainly not $4000 i know that for sure, places like just cars have quoted me $2900 just for my slef, if u dont believe me give them a call ur slef. nram are pretty good so also give them a call. the premium is under $2000 but the excess is like $1000 or somthin.

I got my '95 R33 GTSt 5sp late last year for $17,000 (stock as a rock) off a private importer (avoid dealerships) he was nice enough to throw in 12 months rego and pay all the stamp duty etc. (saved me $1,000–$1,500)

It had 60 000 kms on the clock but I would disregard the K's on imports... just judge by condition of car...

If the car is stock make sure there is no previous signs of modification ie there used to be a FMIC but its not there now. (This usually means the car was boosted...)

It might also be worth paying a little bit extra to get a '95 model as they came with a few extra goodies (Like series 2 rear wing, airbag etc)

My best advice would be look at a lot of cars and don't make your mind up before you go just get the best condition car for the best price... not just visually make sure it still hauls ass...

My mate got a '93 for $14,500 with zorst, two stage boost control, 17" rims, lowered springs/shocks, POD...etc... mainly because he busted the guys balls and he really wanted to sell... so I think $19,500 is plenty...however allow at least $3,000 in on road costs...unless you can get the seller to throw in rego etc.

Oh and 180's kick ass but generally get less respectful treatment by there owners than Skylines...

Hope that is helpful

i Bought my R33 M-spec (1995) for $17 750 with 71 000 km in absolutly immaculate condition and 2 years warrenty! (private seller). Came with a beautiful 3 inch turbo back exaust, K&N pod filter and boost guage. No Massive Mods.

so that would leave u just about enough to put some nice 18's with good tred or a FMIC (rember stock width is usually 205mm, pin dick if your gonna put the boost up). Save up for Eboost and pump that boost up to 12 and wax thoes 180s :D:)

But yeah u get the idea of prices from every 1.

**** the dealers.
