Ended early with a jammed throttle cable, managed to get it back to 2nd gear and ride the brakes the whole way in, thanks to Neil for helping me diagnose the problem.

Here's a video of a few laps in the MX5. Best time was 1:20.5 which isn't bad considering it's absolutely bone stock. You can really hear the street bridgestones complaining on some of the corners.
