A big thank you to Powertune Australia. On my second pass @ WSID this morning i've broken into the 9's. There's still room for improvement with the 60ft.

Video of the run and updates to come later this week on PowertuneR34Gtr Facebook page

Hi Guys,

I had the pleasure of going for quite a few laps in this weapon at Powercruise 2102 :-)

A few more minor points to mention -

- on the day the track was wet, and Anthony had absolutely no fear of ripping it up as you can see on the video.

- the car is without question ... fkn mental .... it is a violent experience to sit in the passanger seat when he smashes it through the gears

- the driver is also a little mental, as you need to be to drive this car. The confidence Anthony has in his car is amazing

- he also has a constant smile on his face :-)

- I've been in a lot of high end $$$$ worked V8 cars, both road and race. This cars is seriously fast ... and scary to be in too !!!

- the Powertune guys deserve massive credit for their work on this car. I've seen Chea and his crew in action. Nothing but perfection is acceptable to them.

I love that Anthony drives the car everywhere, I have never seen it on a trailer, ever !!

For those that have seen it in person, you all understand it is truely a work of art.

For those that haven't, make the effort if you get a chance, it is unique.

And well done on hosing off absolutely everthing they threw at you in the 2013 off street drags

I'm still pissed I missed out on going for a fang this year :-)

Ken

    • It's something we all have to consider as time marches on. Also consider lifted rally MX5 conversion at that point.
    • I should be fine for a few more years, whilst I do have arthritis I also exercise and do mobility training every day to keep as fit and healthy as I can, military life, which is the actual cause of most of my joint issues, has set daily regimes, which I weirdly enjoy I also train alot smarter now, not really focusing on lots strength or puffy muscles, I'm more focused on maintaining what I have for my future older self, I actually train as much mobility now as I do exercising Check out this "simple" drill I have been doing daily prior to training now for a while now, this has worked wonders in my all round mobility
    • I'd say one thing that may make you sell is the same reason the guy with the hard top roof sold his. He got old, and his back was giving him too much grief stopping him getting in and out... Old guy said he was 73! He looked and sounded younger than 73 to me! Or maybe I'm just aligning with old people more...
    • Already looked at a few prior to getting the MX5, really nice car, had all the mod cons, but I wasn't really sold on the new "look" I did miss my 2017 Limited, and I personally prefer the "look" of the older car over the new model, but, when pondering I kept going back looking at MX5's But it was same same for the new ND's, I wasn't sold on the new "look", especially the RF with its weird roof, which only half goes down, like a targa top sort of thing As I stated before, I did look at NC's, but the cars I looked at were PRHT's, but I didn't like their roof line "look" of the PRHT, until I saw the soft top version, (someone on SAU posted a for sale ad for one with a soft top that caught my attention, you can blame them for my choice.....🤣) and.... that old style detachable hard tops were available for them, which keeps the old MX5 more smoother flowing roof line, and the more rounded body style, similar to the NA-NB, to me, the arse end of the ND looks to "modern" Much like how I prefer the NC1 front bar, over the later models How long will I keep this car for is unknown, but currently, there's nothing else out there that "floats my boat" for a small, fun, little "sports car", that I can play with and enjoy looking at and driving But, who knows what the future holds, and going off current new car styling, if I replace it, it will be a older model something something
