ok so i bought my 1994 gts-t about 3 weeks ago, noticed the rear left brakes were sqeeling so i checked them out and noticed the outer was down to metal so got some new bandix ultimate's.

but anyway my problem is that only the passenger outer was down to metal and the rest still had about 3-4mm left on them. could this be because of a problem with the brake piston or something and should i get it checked as i dont want to ruin the new pads i put on.

I suspect one of the pistons is stuck. Either the outer is jamming and not retracting from the disk, or the inner is jammed and not pressing fully on the disk.

Best to get all 4 calipers overhauled.
