HI I am thinking of buying a kenwood tv unit with a 10 vcd stacker...I have a few qns anyway..

1.)Have any of u guys tried the kenwood's tv tuner ?Is the reception good? The salesman told me that the alpine ones are crap and that the kenwood ones are really good but that is just sales talk..Any experience to share with us..... :)

2.)are all stackers compatible with any HD that have stacker control? I mean e.g. can i match a kenwood stacker with a pioneer headunit?????

3.)Have anyone heard anything good about the clarion amplifier(the pro series 5 channel ones)....

4.)Does anyone by any chance have a 2nd hand cheap apexi rsm(blue colour ) for sale hehehe I am looking for one

5.)lastly thanks guys for taking the trouble to read my post....appreciate

I can help you with 1, 2, 3 and 5.

Q1. Apline is a much better quality brand than Kenwood. Alpine have been doing the in dash TV for longer than anyone. In fact Alpine is prolly the reason why everyone else is making them these days, coz they were so successful. Anyone who says Kenwood is better is just havin a wank. The only problem is Alpine is more expensive... but justified i spose.

Q2. In a word no, but you can get adaptors that convert from brand to brand. Last time I checked (bout 2 years ago) they were $80 from JB HiFi.

Q3. Best bet is to get a hold of a mag that has reviewed it. Try "Incar Entertainment" or "Car Stereo Australia". They usually test drive anything new on the aussie market. From my experience Clarion = Quality.

Q5. No worries
