I dont understand y people convert. If u wanted a manual u should have gotten one. It ends up costing more to convert sinse you have to get the gear box, Clutch assembly kit, put in the pedal, change the ECU and all this other crap. Its not worth it, but if ur doin go to ICE or Evolution R

Understand this then. I purchased my car as an auto so my wife could drive it, when the auto fails it will be cheaper to convert to a manual than to replace or recondition the auto. Also some people buy an auto car due to price and availability, and some models of cars only come in auto form. :slap:

I purchased an auto because at the time of finding my R33 all the manual ones are either dodgy (body/mechanical/interior) or has shown evidence of being damaged/abused.

The auto I purchased is one of the cleanest one I can find, and many has agreed so.

I know that on my 32 the drive shaft that went into the auto box has a different yolk inside it and will not fit into the manual. But you can get the yolk off a manual and fit it to the drive shaft. I'm not sure about a 33 which is what i assume you have. But it is a fantastic learning experience.

I think same deal with R33 the auto driveshaft wont fit the manual, apparently some ppl said due to different length too, cos different gearbox dimension.

Yep same problem. But this wasnt too hard to overcome on mine, just a matter of finding the right part. A place in rowville had the required part. You should really do it yourself DJ and just ask any of us if you need help i know i will help at the drop of a coin.
