Flare Nut Replace

Hey Guys,

Just been trying to Upgrade my btake lines to braided, and one of the flare nuts has been totally rounded, not by me before you ask, i have the proper tools, previous owner obviously did not.

So the question is, if i cut off the flare nut from the line, can i simply re-flare the line and replace the nut? If so, are the tools cheap, or should i get someone out to do this?

In a pinch, just use vice grips, the flare nut will still be arsed, but you can just finish the job and be done with it.

yeah you can buy flaring tools, they are cheap. but you need to flush the lines well after cutting the old end off. everything uses a standard flare, it is 30o or something.

Thanks Duncan, yeah it needs a full flush anyway, got a but spongy on the track after a hard session....
