Hi guys, I've just bought a bare Aero front bar for my Stag, and was looking to buy the plastic Spotlight Blanking Plates in the aperture of the bar from Nissan.

The problem is; The version of FAST my local dealer has, doesn't list any part numbers for the aero kit. My Nissan guy suggested it might be bacause it's an acessory option, and these don't appear on their system.

Can anyone find the Aero pieces on a different version of FAST? And if yes, can you tell me what the part numbers for the blanking plates are?

Cheers, Dale.

Chris, it's not a Nismo option. There was a Nismo option bar, but this is just the "Aero Selection" part. Basically, the bar came with driving lights or without, there were just simple black blanking plates. I'm assuming the lights will be heartstoppingly expensive, so I'd rather go with the blanking plates.

A couple of the guys have posted up catalogues, and I've just found the relevant catalogue; http://www.skylinesa..._1#entry4911158

Is there enough info in those two pics to get an idea?

Cheers, Dale.

sorry for hacking your thread

But if I want an Axis front bar + grill for my ARX - Do I need to change my bonnet?

No, but you will need the chrome decoration on the indent in the bonnet, above the grille aperture.

My Euro has that chrome thing on the bonnet - and the bonnet have that indent to clip this chrome

so basically I need to look for an AXIS bonnet then? cause how will I clip/install the chrome garnish?

Good call, I assumed the bonnet was the same; didn't even know there was a different one for S1 m35s, just with a strip to hide the indent.

Looks like we need an AXIS owner to weigh in...

Since I now have an M35 with an aero bar, I don't suppose the numbers are printed on it?

I don't have blanking plates though but the foggies are just Cibie, I would think they're a standard size?

If you feel like having a look that'd be great! What's the bet any part number is blocked by the Reo...:whistling:

Perhaps running the VIN from a car with the Aero Selection Bar/Kit through FAST will reveal the part number? I don't really know if FAST works that way.

I may end up having to make something, I guess time will tell.

I have the original m35 parts book at home and know it includes part numbers for options as well. Will check it out for you but won't be able to until tomorrow. I posted the scans of the brochures as you showed above and also have some other paperwork m35 option related, so I'll see what I can find for you

I have also heard the foglights are identical to Nissan cube however have not confirmed. May be worth a yahoo jp search to see if this is correct or if I had the part number for the cube foggies could cross reference it to the M35 aero ones.

Will see what I can find.

Well I can help with that too, if you want I can give you my VIN to put through FAST?

Rear Aero bar is a bitch to clean though, the little 'shelf' on the back bumper is annoying!

Very interesting points you make.

Thanks to both of you fella's, really appreciate the help!:worship:

K6020-AQ003 is the number for the front bar, but it looks like the plates etc are "all in one" with the front bar and ducts (section F20-001 if your Nissan guy needs to know)

Sorry for hacking again

real quick question

so If I want to change my front bar ARX to an AXIS - can I just leave the grill stock? or Do I need to change grill to fit it in?

Is this straight bolt on?

Different Grille, different aperture shape in AXIS bar.

Looks like I've hit a wall.:/

I used all the numbers that everyone has kindly given, and my parts guy Chris, at Nepean Motor Group, has turned out to be quite the FAST guru! The system seems to be just menus, hidden inside menus, hidden inside menus...

The numbers did eventually lead us somewhere.

We were able to track the Aero Bar to the point where a complete bar could be ordered ($2500!) but we weren't able to find a breakdown of the individual parts that make up the bar. It also din't show the optional driving lights in the front bar. It also appear that when you order the bar it comes colour matched.

The biggest issue that stopped us in the end, was the language barrier. There's a lot of japanese text that could possibly provide more info, but we simply didn't know.

So unless I can find the bits somehow on Yahoo auctions or IM, I think this ride is over.

And if you have one; TAKE CARE OF IT!

Thanks again to everyone for you assistance  .

Cheers, Dale.

    • Well, hydraulic lifters will get noisy if they are dirty/fouled in some way, and exactly how that manifests will depend on exactly what schmutz is where. There is a procedure on here somewhere for dismantling and soaking/cleaning them. Replacing them with new is about 50% of the work and about 5% of the money!
    • Thanks for the reply @GTSBoy this is is a hydraulic lifter engine. Yea right i did not realise the lifters were supposed to be compressible while installed. I could push them down but i had to lean almost my while body weight on them.  I have never heard of a lifter/ lifters ticking only at hot idle and getting worse the hotter it gets. I have owned a few jdm cars with noisy lifters. This noise is slightly more subtle, it is more of a sharp gentle metalic tic than the solid and more loud tapping I've heard on lifters. I have used a metal rod, alloy tube, hose and stethoscope and could not find the source of the tick. But it appears to be loudest on the actual engine block behind the exhaust cam gear and next to the oil filter. I had mate (40 year old mechanic) go over it with me and he couldn't find it either..  Could it be a cam seal issue of some sort?  Cheers
    • This seems problematic and unlikely at the same time. Vanilla RB2Xs have hydraulic lifters. They do have "zero" clearance, but only when running with oil pressure inside them. When not running, you should be able to compress them and obtain heaps of clearance. RB26s and Neos have solid lifters. They should have ~0.3mm and ~0.5mm on the inlet and exhaust respectively. If they have zero clearance then bad things are happening. With nothing else being wrong, it would mean that the valves would be held slightly (ever so slightly) open when they are supposed to be closed and it should have all sorts of problems when running, caused by leakage in/out through the valves. Or, zero clearance can indicate severe valve seat recession. None of it is good. Have you used a piece of hose as a stethoscope to try to localise the noise?
    • Sorry for reviving an old post, but I'm having the same hot idle tick issue. Did anyone ever find out what it was?  I have checked/ replaced Injectors Coils checked Lifter clerance (is at zero) Checked Cam lobes Replaced exhaust gasket and studs Would appreciate any advice this is driving me nuts
