when swapping a rb25 into a r32 can you just go get it blue sliped and be legal? or dose it need to be engineered?

Needs to be engineered as it's a different motor and did not come factory with the car

RB25DE came out in the 32's but you'd still need to check whether you would have to engineer the 'turbo conversion' as well.

Ask your local DOT for info, they should know

well you would have changed the engine number so they will want to verify that, and the number will start with RB25 as opposed to RB20

I have blue plated (engineered) every one I have ever done. It's not expensive.

Not nomally as the car came out with a rb20det but it depends on area as long as you have functioning cat and all stock motor generally no

Even in Vic you won't need an emissions test aslong as all the standard emissions gear on the car is working (carbon canister, cat converter etc...) And also the engine cannot be modded in anyway that would affect the emissions (so standard turbo and cams etc. standard engine basically). As long as everything bolts up nice enough any engineer should pass it.

ok sweet, so do i need to pull the front mount off as it affects emissions?
