R 32 Gtr Throttle Problem ....

hey guys i have a 32 gtr and my throttle sticks wide open when i get up it have to turn ig back one click and pump the throttle u feel it has dropped to floor just goes from under foot checked cable and everything seems to move freely

what would cause it very dangereous and frustrating

Probly havn't put enough preload on the TB spring. Have they been apart.

well the motor was built so i guess its been apart what can i do to fix it the spring tension seems to be hard like its not like it doesnt have enough tension on it ???????

Pop the bonnet and try and replacate the throttle stick with the motor off. Then see wats causing it. Whether it be a cable issue. Or one or more throttle plates over adjusted and binding to the body. Etc

i have tried doing that i cant get it to stick it moves freely with hard tension i cant work it out but its dangereous and i cant have fun in it lol...

It will usually only stick when the engine is up to temp as the TB's grow. Any chance the TB's were played with? I often see that over time the throttle shafts tend to twist due to the retaining spring acting at the oppisite end of the throttle stop.

Has it got any idle issues?

it needs a cold start tune but once it warms up it idles fine i does have cams to so yeah

Its a bit dangerous mate, I would be towing it to a mechanic if you cant diagnose it...

Perhaps a butterfly shaft is bent?
