yeah just a normal 1jz not a VVTI

look forward to attending a few events this year,

We were following a silver stock looking R33 4 door with a cannon exhaust this morning going past narangba station,

we were in a white navara with yellow light on the roof so you probably never noticed us

I think it turned down torrens road at petrie

Hey you Northfolk, As of last night we now have a new executive to steer the club over the next 12 months.

We are planing a major upturn in events ans would like as many of you as possible to join in the fun.

We will be doing 4 major cruises a year and one of these will be in your direction. The club would like to hook up with you guys and then move on to the sunny coast and do the same with the skyline fraternity there.

Our first major cruise will be a western swing taking in the flood hit araeas between brisbane and toowoomba where we hope to hook up with as many liners as we can.

The northern loop will be the next mjor cruise after that.

Let us know if you are interested and keen in becoming more involved with an active club.

Cheers, your new pres.

 for sure

Let me know when your open for business. my dash is doing some odd shit at the moment, I either need a auto sparky or a exorcist.

Will do for sure mate. As soon as I know, which I should know next week, i'll let you know.

Cheers guys for the support. Hope I get to work on some/all of your cars, as i would like to make this business the go to place in Morayfield and beyond.

116 any chances of a house visit. I have a 300zx that has no spark and the last guy did the dodgyest job of wiring i have ever seen. PM me if you can with your hourly rate and we can set up a time.

Keep an eye on the events section peeps. Fun times posted up and more to come.

When I had my 33 I used to attend Club cruises but being on the northside we always had to drive a fair way to get in on the fun. The effort to include north liners will not go unnoticed or unappreciated

well I'll kick it off then:

every thursday night at Carsedline central - we have a northside meet. start at 730-8pm till when ever. there are coffee shops/nandos/pizza capers and all are willing to kick in a bit if the meet gets off the ground.

I'll be there at pizza capers this thurs at 730-8pm to start it.

do we have takers?

its on the corner of Beams Road and Gympie Road

heading out bound its on the left

inbound its on the right

it is at the last set of traffic lights before the Bruce Highway starts

if your retarded the 1st exit isnt far up the road so a U turn is easy

Maybe able to swing out and have a looky. Not a bad spot. Plenty of parking up and underground.

As for the Harry's meets, the cops aren't as bad as they were. Been their plenty of times and they are a good bunch of guys. Last time I was their a 32 rocked up with straight through exhaust, 1 headlight working and slamed on it's nuts. A copper a guided him into the park and said nice ride. I kid you not. I spoke to him about there presents there and he basically said they were just to keep things under control and stop the dickheads. You still get some dickheads, but thats most places you go. You'd be very suprised how they turn a blind eye to the cars that rock up their. Another one, this guy had a Merc pretty much on bump stops and the copper goes, didn't you have another 1 the other week or was that someone else. Couldn't belive what I heard.

The coppers down there from what I hear are pretty good, However they did turn up just after we left because people forgot how to use a sidewalk and also how to exit a driveway without leaving rubber flavored momento's behind

    • Yep, that was one of the things we learned fast in the past with our MX5. When you drive with the top down, you are effectively standing out in the sun, 100% of the time, and not getting in any shade (because roads aren't shaded generally!). Just like standing out in the middle of a field on a sunny 27C day is a bit of a bad plan, so is sitting in a MX5 without sun protection.
    • I also just ordered some Frankenstein bolts and side mounts to fit a hard top Just in case I do find one, basically so it doesn't need to be fixed to the car with only the front latch.......and then gaffa tape to keep it in place for the RTN journey from wherever I get it
    • If your temps are fine now, you probably won't have any issues with where your vents are as they don't look right up at the windscreens high pressure area, so any differences when giving it the beans for extended happy laps would be minimal, but, they should vent heaps when stuck in traffic  Much like how that reverse cowl on my SS let "visible" heat out when stationary, but, because it was basically at the windscreen my coolant temps on the Hwy actually raised because air was being fed into it at speed (110kph), to only come back down to around 90° when I got off the Hwy And your 100% correct about the NC currently not needing vents, but, if I was to add a turbo, and a oil cooler and intercooler in front of the condenserand radiator, and then take it to the track???? It is apparently a recommend requirement if I don't want to worry about coolant or oil temp issues, but, any of the above are possible scenarios, over time As it sits now, with the triple pass radiator and stock air conditioning system, I have absolutely no issues with either temps or air conditioning efficiency, I've been basically daily driving thie car for the last month, both on the Hwy, and peak hour, bumper to bumper traffic, but, that's pretty much expected from basically a standard engine  Talking about no issues daily driving, it was 39° the other day and I was sitting in bumper to bumper traffic on the M5 and then M7, with the top down, and with the air conditioning blowing nice cold air on my feet, balls, and face, well, there was one issue, my head and arms got pretty sun burnt Note to self: leave a hat and sunscreen in the car for such days 🤣
    • I would agree, unless you need something specific to the HV motor/battery side repaired or investigated, any mechanic will be able to perform normal services, but if you prefer, maybe look for a mechanic who regularly services/repairs Nissans, the VQ engines are pretty common in the Nissan lineup.  Sorry, I can't make any suggestions, I don't live in Vic.
    • Some of them keep working fine. 9 out of 10 of them end up causing an absolute misery bleeding the system and get thrown on the workshop floor in a tantrum and never thought about again because they were never really needed and just added crap to the car that we could have done without. Same-same with HICAS, A-LSD, and various other stupidities that over eager 10x engineers thought we had to have.
