Yes you can

Good luck finding one at a wrecker and when you do be prepared to pay through the nose for a used part. Also note that 2nd hand units with more than 80k can start to open wheel more than you would want to as the silicon gel in the vicious centre degrades with age/use

Might be better off buying a brand new quaife centre like I did

Well, I just got a VLSD from a 350Z today. Cheap Cheap. low-ish kms on it, so should be ok.

Now I remember that 180 had some issues with his stub axles or something, was that right? When the Quaife went in?

I'll just have to see if it goes in the rear end

I agree with the other guy that the 350z diff probably isnt worth your hassle. Especially if you've only got the centre.

The viscous unit is not that great. On my car, sometimes it felt like it would initially lock up both wheels, then go single spinner, then lock up again if i gave it enough.

I had a proper 2-way LSD on my car for a while and it was MILES ahead of the factory viscous unit. Noisy as all buggery though.

The ATS Carbonetic centre, with the carbon clutches, seems like the ultimate option. Been in a car with this and it was quiet. Haven't been in a car with a quaiffe but it also sounds like a good option

Its better I have it... postage to the Westside would have made you its bitch.:ermm: That, and I bought my car from the place he works for!

Yeah, I know the VLSD isn't top notch, but its not a track car, needs to be quiet, and well, it was cheap!

With the AWD system, I don't get spin anywhere ATM, But when it goes rwd, I want it in there.

Hmmm... some more info on this -

Looks like you need VLSD halfshafts to do this. I think they are different - the open diff has just one set of splines, while the VLSD have two separated sets of splines.

Looks like i'm looking for more parts....>_<
