what the f**k did you do to that ?

take a better photo so we can see the real colour of it . and list your mods

That's what i'm asking. The car only has FMIC, catback and EBC running 10psi.

It's the actual manifold at the turbo. Ever seen one that bad, Rich?

Thought that could be a reason. My profec B II shit itself 6 months back, wouldn't control

the boost at all. It may have hit 20psi once or twice before i pulled it out.

Profec had been faultless for 2 years beforehand.

do u use a turbo timer or just switch it off red hot

Never drive it that hard, just 10 mins to work and back. Always drive easy

so it should never get red hot.

Used to have a timer but didn't need it for the way i drive.

have seen it before.

you can thrash the shit out of the motor, run it red hot. switch off.. etc etc and it wont crack. run 20 psi all day every day and it wont crack the manifold.. other stuff will fail before the manifold.

the one i saw crack was on a daily driven stock r33 with NO mods.

put it down to casting failure....

And my usual luck.

there also seems to be some kind of machine that has been done, like grinder marks om the face of it, did you have to modify it or has it been modified ?

looks the same as the one i'm replacing it with

I thought the use of these was dismissed a few years ago. Street driven cars dont need one. Or do we all fang it til its red hot just before we pull in the driveway? Normal driving wont have need for one, more so because once you park the car, its just heat soaking the engine.

That's the reason i took mine off. I'll put it back if i start doing trackdays.
