It was done at a Test n Tune day, so isn't counted for the "Official" record.

The car also had the front chassis rails replaced with a tube frame setup, which moves it into a different category under ANDRA rules, but is still okay under NZDRAG rules (if I understood Mario's post correctly)

So what I wanna know is... why doesn't Mario come on here and tell us? I mean, he's an Aussie right?

Or does that NZ forum have more credibility than SAU? F*ck that.

I'm not saying he should come on here and start a thread about a competitors car!

We got a thread about this "Heat Treatments 8.40" bizness just like SDU, except Mario doesn't comment here on the local forum... thats what I mean.

  • 1 year later...

Thought this would be a good place to make an update - Heat Treatments ran at Masterton Motorplex in NZ this weekend and set his PB, and then reset it again:

First run was an 8.33, the second run was an 8.28 @ 167mph. Congrats Reece and the Heat Treatments team

    • I would call it the "manifold coolant outlet" or something like that.  If you know the dimensions you can just get a bit of mild steel (or stainless) pipe that is the correct size, bead roll a hose retaining lip into the end of it and bash it in! Or, get fancy-  https://boostdoc.com.au/products/rb25-neo-billet-top-hose-outlets?srsltid=AfmBOopjNetVaMphRC0x44Er2jwO2k5vPp-4AGG5Bd285Ah0SsXXGk3e
    • True....I've not done a bearing in a borrowed car yet, but I've sure as hell killed a clutch in one   What's the car's history? Looks like a fair bit done to it already
    • For $2m you could grab Brockys sons daily driver AND a R34 GTR VSpec
    • Help! Can anyone tell me what this part is called? Mines a rusted mess as you can see in attached photo and I'm struggling to find a replacement for it anywhere because I simply don't know what to search up. It's on my intake manifold and I believe the top radiator hose attaches to it. If anyone also knows where to buy one from that information would be greatly appreciated aswell 😊
