Hey guys really getting frustrated by this engine! I have changed over spark plugs few weeks ago now and car has slowly decreased itself over couple of weeks by spitting on high revs like a rapid spitting! When listening near spark plugs there is a random spark of single or multiple sparks. The car does not idle very well and runs like a piece of shit! Running stock boost and have recently put a new exhaust on. Any ideas would be greaty appreciated!

Have done the check and all looks good.. I forgott to mention that i took the car to get looked at and they said i had water stains in the engine bay and that it needed to be dried out by running the car.. So i picked car up and thrashed it for hour n half and all problems were gone and it was running smoothe! Then next morn all the problems started again! Why?

r33 are pretty sensitive, if i were you i'de reset the ecu, you know leave the negative of your battery disconnect for a day some people reckon less, have a look into things after that. at least things will go back to stock ecu wise

just took the car for a drive then and found that its more of a bang and backfire noise. and i opened up the hood and some coil packs are still sparking while engine is running!! thats not right!

So you have no valley cover over the coilpacks? And the coil packs are bolted down on the spark plugs? If yes to both and you can see sparks, then your coilpacks are probably stuffed, the back fire noise could have been all the unburnt fuel in the exhaust.

where are the sparks coming from on the coilpacks?Find some one with good coil packs and switch over to see if it fixes it.

I fairly certain that is what it is, cos you ain't meant to see the actual spark.

South Australia has a Wanted To Borrow section not sure if anyone has some spare tho.

Go to supercheap and buy a small tube of high temp gasket maker silicone for about $20, take all your coils packs out, and put a good even layer of silicone on all the sides of the coilpack (not in stupid places obviously)

I did this when mine were sparking out past 4000rpm and they have not been any trouble since
