Lambchop With A Renault Axis Here...

Recommended Posts

im interested. Would this be a wiring mod or require any additional parts beyond a switch/wires??

With the shift kit in, there is less slippage therefore less heat created

haha im only interested in doing the job properly not cutting wires *Cough* i mean corners *cough* :P

Seems anything mechanical in our cars runs on wires somewhere. IMO you can't progress unless your prepared to cut a few here & there :D .

mine pops too when the exhaust is hot. mostly in manual mode when it stays in gear when i back off the throttle

Nice! It must be that awesome ECU throwing heaps of fuel into your engine.

still running plumback so i'll check the hoses and vacuum but i need to replace the BOV so hopefully get that before x'mas.

my thoughts were along the lines of running rich and BOV playing up............

its really tempting to take the cat out HAHA and watch all the flamage!!!!! it'll remind me of my other flaming wagon :D

  • 4 weeks later...

fitted a new BOV today, i got the turbosmart nissan dual port............... even set on the softest setting im now peaking at 19PSI,

first of all is that right? second what do i need to be doing to stay safe............ ive been running 95Ron but im thinking i should be running 98Ron now just to be sure its all good and safe.

i know people were running there stock turbo's at 20PSI but i just want to know what effecs this is going to have on my engine and on the turbo................(yes i know the turbo is going to have a shorter life span!!!!)

cheers, Theo.

thats weird, your BOV doesnt control boost. if you have more boost now, check your vacuum lines.

you should be running it on 98 as these cars are tuned for 100RON in japan

i blocked up that hole in my one and it went a TINY bit better. no huge increase in boost

actually gotta put the stock one back on and sell the aftermarket one........
