245/30/20 Nexen N3000's.............. dont really know how good they are but i'll soon find out i was told they should be better than the federal 595's i had on there but not as soft as a Yoki or a P-zero.

"Ultra High Performance Driving

  • Directional wide aqua groove design
  • Arrow center rib design-High speed driving performance
  • Shoulder design-Improved cornering stability
  • Aggressive type lateral grooves-Resists hydroplaning
  • W & Y - speed rated
  • UTQG 340AA"

better than federals? lol nexens are as good as nankangs, i had them in the supra for less grip so i could rip serious skids yo

thiis is 3 year ago mate, could be improved now, but thats why I bought them, cheap, hard tire that didnt wear quickly, was perfect for skid pans.. but for everyday drivng they werent to bad, im comparison to pzeros or feds? no where near... imo anyway

I've used 595 SS on the front of my 180sx and found them very average. I used them on the track drifting and suffered understeer all the time. I got a price today for a kumho ku31 in a 245/45-18 for $266, waiting on a price tomorrow for a nexen n6000 in same size out of interest.

i just got some Achilles for my 31

235/45/r17 for $107, apparently not bad at all (this is only on the rear) but apparently popular with the drifters because they have a bit of grip and last pretty well

Yeah Achilles sponsor the Monster/Nismo 350Z in Stadium Drift now.

A few of the guys I've spoken to prefer the Federals, because they get more grip for the steer tyres and last longer. A lot of those cheap tyres last 1-2 runs :domokun:

lol yeah didnt click on the day until i looked up the pic's and realised the tread pattern was different.

BUT it seems these are made in the same factory as the continental tyres

just wish they wouldve told me thats all!!!

  • 2 weeks later...

my first problem with the car, its intermitantly idleing really high, like 1500rpm in "drive" and 2500 in nuetral.

noticed i had wired the thermo fan up backwards but the car didnt overheat.

as far as i can tell by the boost gauge its still on the correct vacuum at normal idle.

any idea's i need to get this sorted before the starlight charrity cruise on sunday!!!! :(
