T04Z With .70 Rear?

Hay guys,

Thinking bout swaping my t04z .84 for a gt 35. but before i do I just wanted some feed back on how a .70 rear on a t04z would go.

im looking for more response atm. im running 400hp atw,

any sugestions.

Thats not alot of power for a t04z man, you should put a smaller turbo on it and make the same power earlier

GT35 is even too big for 400rwhp

A T04Z with a .84 rear should be making upwards of 550rwhp (410rwkw), with ease.

If you only want 300rwkw - put a GT3076 on it.

how would the .70 rear housing affect the turbo???

only running 17 psi. on the car at the moment. no cams either.

what sorta power will a gt 30 max at on a 26???

Bring it on sooner, choke power output - either way it doesnt matter as it wont improve it massively.

For anything less than 400-440rwkw, you do not need a T04Z.

A 3076 on PULP will pretty much be maxed around 300rwkw give/take.

so a 3076 will max bout 300kw.

im after bout 320 kw to 350kw.

is the 35 still 2 big???? or will it be the same as t04z with the .70??????

what sorta rpm would i expect boost with the gt30???

if you want 350, then a 35 is better.

IMHO

3076 = 300~

3540 = 340~

GCG have a range of exhaust housings available so that you will be able to bolt a 35R on without much trouble. You will need to alter your oil and water lines, your intake and hotside pipe and your dump.

Expect a good gain in performance at the same boost level.

Why not just turn the boost up and make 350 now? Sure it will be a bit laggier then if you had a gt35 but will cost you only a bit of tuning. Then you can chase 400rwkw later on.

Mate, reread everything posted in this thread, using a T04Z for 300kw is a waste of time, irrespective of whichever rear housing you use.

It's like paying $50 for 6 big mac meals, at the end of the day, your only eating 1 and the rest will just make you fat and slow !

Not flange pattern friendly, unless his T04Z is a one off T3, then yeah its a good option.

Turbo came with the car so i didnt choose it.

but i have another manifold that is t3, so t67 is a possibility.

Built engine yet only 300rwkw with a T04Z on 17psi?? Something sounds wrong?

The advice from this forum will be dont worry about mismatched turbos by changing housings just get an appropriately sized turbo

The question to ask yourself is would the same response be ok if it made a heap of power? If yes then turn it up, if no then yeah change the turbo. Cam gear will get some more response but not huge amounts.

If you have a T04Z all installed and working well then I think there has to be big gain to changing things. After all most of these cars are to have some fun we are not racing for pink slips... well at least im not hahaha
