Ecu Help!

I got my skyline from japan last year been busy fixing all the problems it had. I took out my passager side panel and looked at the ECU. I saw that it was not the nissan stock ECU it was a brand a called Yellow hat. I was wondering why my car felt like it had more power then a stock GTT. Just wondering has anyone on this website ever heard of the brand or had any experience with this ECU. It has a stock turbo because i went under the car and looked at it. Also it had a turbo back exhaust and a HKS boost controller. So was just wondering if i leave the ECU as is it wont do any harm or should i get a tuner to test it out and place the car on the dyno aswell.

Wouldn't hurt to take it to a tuner and get him to take a look. Better off spending a few dollars on getting it checked out before anything major goes wrong. If all is well after observation, chuck it on the dyno and get your afr checked.

As for the ECU, I don't know much on that one.

Thanks for the advice, I will get it check out i thought someone on SAU would of encountered this ECU once before.

probably just a typical japan mass flashed style tune. no doubt it could be improved upon and worthwhile getting it checked for safety sake.
