Engine Swap

Gday guys,

I recently disabled the engine in my S1 R33 and am looking to replace it. I bought a motor off a mate, but here's where it gets tricky. The engine I currently have in the car is out of a standard S1 R33 and the new one to be put in is the Neo RB25 from the R34gtst. My question is will it work?

After initial inspection there appears to be some differences in the head (throttle body, extra sensors) so I'm toying with the idea of swapping the Neo head with the original as the disabled engine has only a bottom end problem. I'm out of my depth of knowledge here so some solid advice would be more than appreciated!

Not sure what, if anything, needs to be done electrically but would be keeping the neo head if you can.

Solid lifters, etc... Superior head.

Could be a little bit more mucking around than an R33 RB25 swap but if you can, do it

You would be best off buying a R34 Neo ECU/loom if you want to put a Neo engine in.
