And its on its way here on a boat from Japan. Its been a bit worrisome few days trying to get it out with all that has gone over there, and to be honest - this car was probably the last thing on the Japanese agents mind.

But all's good and its on its way now. I am new to the whole Skyline scene, but I spent well over 12 month researching to getting one. But now that I have got one - what do it!?!?!? (Yes, I know its meant to be driven, but obviously there's alot more fun to this thing than just driving it - right???)

Also, does anyone know long did the whole quarantine and compliance process take for anyone else who imported a car recently (in Victoria). I am assuming I should allow 4-5 weeks for all this?

Anyone have suggestions around: Insurance, servicing, dyno testing, oils, etc. I want to make sure this thing is up and running to best possible condition.

Congrats on the purchase mate, looks like a very tidy example.

Once the car arrives in Melbourne, allow for about a week for the car to get inspected for quarantine, transported to quarantine accredited premises for a clean and then get re-inspected and cleared for pick up. If it passes the quarantine inspection when it arrives then it's ready for immediate pick up.

Compliance times differ from place to place, but it's the wait to get the compliance plate from Canberra that takes the longest. I recently got one of my cars complied and it took a week and a half to get the plate.

So I guess if you allow up to around 4 weeks from the time the car arrives you should have the car ready for rego.

Hope that helps.....
