Im having with my R32 RB25det with at Wal bro GSS 341 fuel pump. The pump is running fine when i hook a 12v up to it but it wont run from the actual power plugs. tested power on all of the wires going into the fuel pump on the outside and inside and im only getting one reading and thats from the fuel sensor.no power or nothing. I have checked all the fuses and they are all fine.Im really unsure about this problem and really need it fixed cas i need to drive the car.

1. this is in the wrong section,

2. did you check it with the car running as i'm fairly sure the pump doesn't turn on till the motor gets cranked, is it wired the right way round

3. the walbros like more voltage than 12v, i ran a wire from the back of the alternator through a 20amp fuse to a 20amp relay which gets switched on by the factory wire, when i had the car dynoed with the pump on factory wiring it ran very lean till we figured out the pump wasn't getting enough power, i rewired it at straight to the rich side

1.what section should i put this into man? im not too familar with this site yet

2.yer i was driving the car and then it all of a sudden cut out and then diagnosed the problem to the fuel pump.pump wont switch on full stop with current wiring unless you hook it up to a 12v source.

3. is it hard to wire it that way?where is the relay that you run the wire through?

general maintenance, r32s have a poblem with the two speed pump control unit shiting itself, might be a place to start.

if you have no power at all at the plug you can't do what i did, you would have to run a wire from the cars factory fuse box to a relay and bypass pump control all together or replace the unit.

i ran a new wire from the alternator and installed a fuse and relay myself and only used the factory wire to switch the relay on so none of the power from the factory wire runs to the pump.

as for doing this its not that hard, i think from memory the whole job took about and hour, the worst bit was wiring the plug that plugs into the tank as the wire i used is a lot bigger than the factory one

This may seem real stupid but I found the problem and it was a fuse. The catch is the fuse was hiding behind my ECU. my fuel pump is powered directly directly there is 3 there actually.didnt even know that they would be there. Thanks for the help tho :)

    • Another question sorry, what stainless do u use in the turbo external WG plumb back piping? Is it 321, 316 or 304?
    • Right, its been a while for updating this car, but I made some small but important progress today. In the end I bought an Ecutek dongle from the Australian distributor Tunehouse (for local hardware support) but have gone with a remote tune from Racebox in the US (because they have done millions of these, and I could not find any tuner where I could access the tune anyway as they are all password locked). The App is reasonably easy to work with, but the PC software reminds me of Haltech's ECU Manager that you need to use with the Plat Pro ECUs, it is a nightmare.  Anyway, I sent the details over, got back a tune file and a request for data logs. I finally got a chance to access a private test track today as they want redline logs in 3rd and 4th, and have sent them back for the first round of reviews. The main difference in the tune is going from 1.0 (stock) to 1.3 bar (19psi), although I'm sure is a lot of other stuff in the background. Keeping in mind this is a dead stock car with 125,000klm, this is what the App's performance test claimed: Before After Interesting to note that both 400m tests had the same terminal speed (158klm/h) but different ETs. And no, the speed limiter seems to be higher than that at 186kl/h. Summary of the key logged parameters for the 3rd and 4th gear runs were: Those little turbos were certainly whizzing at 200,000rpm+.  Also I'm really not that excited about oil pressure 55psi at redline so I think I'll go thicker than 5w30 (nissan recommend 0w20....) and see if that improves it. Other than that (and the big boost spike....) everything looks good as a start to me.
    • Just one more post to show the final result and the original "janky" solution for a laugh. Everything feels really tight and no wobbling at all, very pleased 🙂
