I have a series I RB25DET and the clip came without a MAF.

I am located in Canada where no RB engines can be found easily and was hoping it might be easier/cheaper to source a MAF from Australia rather than going through a JDM supplier.

I have heard that the 300ZX MAFs are too big and the ECU will require tuning to make it run right, so getting a stock MAF would be in my best interest.

Does anyone have a part number for the MAF, so that i might be able to order it in through the Nissan dealership here. Or does someone have a MAF for sale? What do the dealerships usually charge for the MAF?

BTW the engine is going into a Kouki S14 240sx. Thanks in advance guys.

Here are some pics of the clip BTW.

One shows the TPS sensor if i'm not mistaken (huge pic). Is anything missing?

The 300zx AFM is not bigger than the RB25DET's AFM but it is different and would at least some kind of piggyback system to make it work with the stock ECU.

A RB25DET AFM comes in two different types depending on the wiring loom you have as well. For a series 1 engine the plug is different to the series 2 engine.

From the pictures it is evident that you have an early model RB25DET engine so the Series 1 AFM is what you need. They usually sell for about $200 AUD on the forums but get snapped up quickly. You might be able to get one of the aussie import wreckers to send you one though since it's a fairly small item.

Thanks for the quick reply and info.

I thought i read somewhere on SkylinesDownUnder that the RB MAF is 70mm and the 300ZX one was 80mm. I have to take everyting with a grain of salt when working with foreign engines. I will check the classifieds here and hope for the best. Thanks again.
