ahh.. finally I made it to the end.

So much dribble! j/jk

congrats btw. excellent result from stock. I though 22psi on my R33 was pushing the limit. lol

I only started reading this thread because you were mentioned in this thread:

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/428714-braided-teflon-lines-how-to-connect-to-plastic-tank-barbs/

I was a little disappointed that there were no pictures of how the hoses connect to the actual tank.

Is it possible for you to take photos/removed the cover etc. I'd like to know what's going on in there (and you could inspect/clean you lift pump filter sock :))

Mat sent me photos once when he was getting the system setup, so unless it's changed then I believe he is using Speedflow 90° bulkhead fittings in place of the stock ones. Like so:

Correct Mat?

Eh, I had to do the same to fit my Sparco seats to my Recaro rails. Not a big deal, just drilled and tapped two new holes. Easy :)

Yeah yeah i see you DIY everything, i just wanna bolt the kent in and thrash :P

Here is the guy that sells the seat mounts:

If the seats you purchase have sliders, it bolts to this which then bolts to the floor. Measure the distance between the bolt holes on the sliders and email the seller and see if they match the holes on the mounts (they should as most are a common measurement).

Awesome ill go have a look man!

Can't wait to see how you go with thee seats Mat! I will sit on the sideline and if it works out ill but some haha.

Also nice work NYTSKY with the rails

Asshole :P Haha

I got home Friday and found Carmen had already picked them up and had them waiting for me, best girl ever!!!

Looks like they would work! How do they go with seat height though? Two sets of rails, I imagine it might position them a little bit high?

Yeah i need to sit lower in the car actually! Helmet touches the roof :/

what material are the seats Matt. Ive been hunting for GTR seats but they're so rare.

p.s do they actually catch you around corners.

Ummm i dunno man, black stuff :P I dont know the difference between materials lol

Certainly got a lot more holding ability then the stock worn out GTT seats. Will be interesting to see how they go once fitted!

these are the seat mounts i have matty boy. Only prob i find is they sit a little high with my buckets on the rail bolts to them

Yeah so much shit talk in this thread lol.... I really should get it and clean it all up one day but that is time better spent thrashing the car :P

Correct you are -

I dont think i have any pics from underneath and now with the new setup and the 86 fuel lines in the boot i have no intention of pulling it apart :P

So you just by-pass/remove the "jet pump"? (No sure what its function is).

attachicon.gifimage.jpg

I'm going to buy a spare sender unit to mess with

WTF is a jet pump?

Uh huh!!! Well it says on there that the 34 is different so maybe that is the answer we were looking for i guess?

not sure tbh? im sure its 1 bolt hole that will be slightly further away. Great quality mounts for the price i just with they had sliders built in.

Its more than 1 bolt hole, UK skyline site in their gtt seats into 33 says this but I bought gtt seats and it was out by a lot more, their rails must be sitting on all sorts of dodgy angles to be bolted down.

So anyway, i have a farkload to update apart from seats and it will take me the next couple of weeks i think....

To start off, i had the beast booked in early Saturday morning with our man DVS JEZ just for a power run to check how it behaved on United E85 and also to check the coolant temp reading as my gauge was being a dick... Fast forward to the end of last week and i got a call asking to chuck the car in for some photos in Sydney which i thought would be a good thing so i changed the booking to the arvo and shot off down to Sydney for the morning....

Photos were for JEM and were done the the guys at THE-LOWDOWN.COM, the guys seemed great and it was a good opportunity to catch up with the guys, here are a few pics off my phone but will have heaps more soon off Carmens camera -

So after an awesome morning i got in contact with Mr DVS JEZ and was planning on getting up for an arvo run, we went off to fetch some E85 from United for the run and as a surprise i had an Ign Breakdown problem, this is the first time the car has ever had an issue with Ign apart from the original coilpack failure years ago.... This caused some concern and was also going to prevent any power runs.... Lunchtime had passed and the arvo runs at JEZ's were looking less likely...

At this stage being the arvo i was worried and a bit dissapointed with the car, of course Adam Neish being the brilliant tuner he is decided to come to the rescue!

The coilpacks were checked and all seemed to be in good condition, the plugs were removed and checked but nothing majorly wrong, we replaced them anyway!

IMG_6426_zpsb0302ae9.jpg

After this was replaced Adam chucked it on the dyno for me to double check it and see if the problem was solved, it certainly was for now!

With E81 reading in the tank it was run up to see how it behaved -

IMG_6422_zps380e64e6.jpg

IMG_6420_zps00b5a8bc.jpg

Once some adjustments were made the car was run up on low boost, it sounded smooth and tough as nails.... With 20psi dialed in -

IMG_6425_zpsa18bf228.jpg

The boost was then turned up to its high setting on 25psi (Tapers off to about 22-23psi in the top end) and the results -

IMG_6427_zpsad5a7f27.jpg

The car was super consistent and ran the same numbers within 1hp over and over even with all the heat in the engine bay from running for ages... Not bad

So after a long day the car was back running 100% and i felt like shit.... We made the long haul home and will book the car back in with DVS JEZ for another day....

In this case, as always i cannot thank Adam @ JEM enough for what he has done, the car feels amazing to drive and to see it backing up the numbers again and again is impressive!

The shoot was awesome and i hope it goes well for the guys, it is always a good experience going down to visit and if you ever need any tuning work in Sydney then give JEM a call for sure!

Oh shit, forgot to mention... The coilpack loom was all crusty and brittle... The plug clips are all cracking off etc SO the search begins for a new loom... I am hoping this will be the cause of the original IGN issue but it will get replaced as a preventative measure, ill have to get searching for one. I have found plenty of second hand ones available but being an important part of the setup i would rather buy new and know its going to be 100%! No point going half assed....
