Hey guys,

Ever since I got an Exedy heavy duty clutch professionally installed, clutch pedal feels quite heavy especially after 2 hrs drive each way to work.

Would a nismo slave cylinder make any difference? What other ways can I make the clutch pedal lighter?

Also, quite irrelevant to topic, but is there any suspension that I can put on to make the ride softer than the standard r33 gtr suspension?

Cheers!

I've used my GTR as a daily, but only 1 hour trips each way. Are you sure the clutch booster is working? (clutch pedal should be lighter when the engine is on and feeding it vacuum).

I've never been in a skyline with standard suspension.... If the shocks are tired it makes the ride worse.

I think the real problem is you need a new job..

I had a an exedy HD safari tuff clutch in my ute, driving 8-10 hours a day, 5 days a week your leg gets stronger after a while and you dont notice it..

So i get a new BT-50 and all i can say standard clutches are f**kin rubbish It feels all wrong ,doesnt bite when i want/expect it too and even though its only done 50oook i want to change the clutch it shits me that much with its lame spongyness.

But guess ill have to wait till it dies which could be a while, I know guy with 330,000kms on his stock clutch :(

Harden up princess..

4 cylinder? ahh you mean sr20det of course.

seriously though, get an auto corolla or something, not terribly interesting but not too bad, and you'll be saving the gtr for the good times. Or a v6 magna if you want something with a bit more grunt

Yeh it's not my legs that are weak lol it's the bottom of my foot that gets sore towards the end of the week. I have no choice where I work currently driving from Bankstown to Manly/Mona Vale it's just a part of hospital rotations lol In 3 weeks time I'll be off to Lismore for 3 months and I will drive up there. I'm a bit concerned about leaving the car at the airport there when I head back to Sydney for the weekend... pretty sure it's gonna get stolen :/

When you're sitting in traffic stationary, you sit with your foot on the clutch don't you?

If you do, STOP IT! You will be screwing the thrust washer in the engine.

If you want a lighter pedal, put a lighter pressure plate in for the clutch.

Otherwise by a MANUAL 4cylinder... They save even more fuel then the autos and stock clutch = light as.
