1992 R32 GTR

Nearly 195,000 klms. I bought it Nov 09 from Shane Rainman @ Power Rd Cars Sales, freshly imported with 177,000 on the clock and the paperwork substantiates these as legit klms

Was bone stock (cat back & Teins) when bought and now has the following specs:

Engine / Power

Garrett -7 Turbs – pics attached before they were fitted

Nistune – tuned by Status Tuning

Tomei adjustable cam gears

R34 GTR dumps, Blitz 70/80mm front pipe, Nissan CAT, some sort of aftermarket rear section – nice note and not too loud

G Reddy Profect B II EBC (fitted in glovebox for stealth)

Running approx. 290 RWKW on Trent's dyno @ approx. 18psi – dyno sheet attached with 2 tunes shown. Later tune is dialing-in the cam wheels and you can see the affect that had on torque delivery

Splitfire coilpacks & new copper plugs

Motor unopened but had Trent compression test it when coilpacks fitted and it's 165 across all cylinders – got a written report

New water pump, cam belt, front seal and 100k service done

Engine bay looks 100% stock and very clean

Driveline

New single plate Exedy Sport Organic Clutch bought from Kudos. Flywheel machined

Gearbox standard and works well (in fact of the 2 cars I have this box shift the sweetest). Very little 'roll over' noise which GTRs can have

Suspension

Tein SS (Jap Spec) suspension

Had recent alignment at Traction Tyres

Brakes

Brand new Nissan master cylinder fitted

Pads unknown but plenty left and fine for street driving – no squealing

OEM Nissan cross drilled rotors – must have been replaced at some stage

Wheels / Tyres

Std R32 GTR rims in pretty good nick and virtually no rash

Proper, quality 20mm hub-centric bolt on spacers for a nice stance

Brand new Toyo tyres (not overly sporty ones but Jap made MY10 and brand new i.e. not even fitted to the rims yet)

Interior

Totally stock and in excellent condition

Steering wheel immaculate

No seat rips

Got a small dash bubble as many do

Got a basic stereo that looks low key but works fine, and as far as I can tell original, and pretty average, speakers. TBH, if this is a big deal to you I'd rather not sell you the car.

Exterior

Wine red…whatever it's officially called I'm not sure

Very good condition overall and totally stock. I'd say it's been hit with paint at some stage but it presents very well. Come and see it and we can talk through it. You make your own mind up as I'm no expert

Misc

Immobiliser with 2 working fobs which also activate central locking

2 proper GTR keys plus a workshop spare

Why Selling

My business has a company owned Mazda6 Wagon coming off lease in early June which I will likely purchase for my private use in place of the GTR as family transport requirements take a greater hold of my life . I have another R32 GTR (silver) sitting under a cover in a garage not getting any use so it makes more sense to have a comfy family car and the GTR rocket for when the mood takes me. At least the silver beast would get a run every now and again.

Legals

Registered to Nov 2011 (and complied)

It will be sold with a RWC

It is privately registered and is financially unencumbered.

General BS

All mechanical work was done approx Feb 2010 by Trent @ Status (before he stopped doing it). All receipts available. It's a beautiful car that was clearly well looked after by owner #1 (I was told by the vendor that he suspected it was a 1 owner car – we can discuss why I personally think it's true if you're interested) and anyone who knows GTRs can see the things I've done to it are sensible / responsible mods. Always been serviced every 5000klms with Motul 300v. I drive this car daily from my driveway in Caulfield to my private car spot in Dandenong Monday to Friday. That's it. No milkbar runs, no car parks, no Chapel St, no smoking, no drinking, no fornicating, drag racing etc (is life passing me by?). It is a good daily driver (as far as GTRs go) and I've will miss it a great deal when gone. I get 450 – 500 klms to a tank. Never tracked by me, and I'd guess ever. It's never let me down, starts first time every time. Has a nice low, even idle. You are welcome to have it mechanically inspected but I'm generally busy and the inspection will have to be during business hours and in Dandenong. I would suggest Status Tuning if they can be bothered. Be warned I'll be taking a very cautious approach to letting anyone drive this car before you show me the colour of your money.

Low-balling time wasters will be spotted a mile off and I won't be dealing with you. Macdoodle69 please do not post in my thread. To all others, this is a genuine sale and I'll be happy to answer any questions you have about the car and to facilitate the sale. I'll be favouring SAU'ers with good provenance on the forums as I'd like the car to go to someone who will appreciate it and look after it.

$22,000 not negotiable.

Contact via PM. Come get it.

Some boot, under bonnet, interior and random photos to help those interested. ^^ Thanks Ben. You live in the street with the speed humps, east side of Booran Rd? Think I've seen your R34.

So, I'm willing to discuss price and once you've seen the car if you want to make a reasonable offer then please feel free to do so. It's like courting though, there is a right way to do it.

    • I would paint match the whole thing to avoid unwanted attention  I had a similar bonnet, paint matched, on my old R33 GTST, but mine was a fibreglass jobbie made by Blitz in QLD, they work extremely well for radiator efficiency and under bonnet temps
    • Does anyone run this kit with factory plenum? Does the adapter and bosch tb fit under factory strut brace? I wanted to get this setup before going forward facing manifold. Thanks
    • small update time, after always wanting a "cool" looking bonnet for my car and always struggling to find one for the series 2 that i liked and wasn't an insane amount of money. Saw one i liked on RHDjapan from D-speed in Japan the price was very good for a carbon bonnet so good infact i was a little unsure how much i trusted it, decided to bite the bullet and with the help of jesse streeter in not long at all it was at my door. Once it was delivered i ran in from work and quickly unboxed it and to my surprise the quality was actually pretty good i quickly removed the old bonnet and placed on the new one to test it out and even the fitment wasnt too bad at all. Then decided to paint the little grille in the bonnet black to stop it sticking out so much.   I decided to not mess around with the hood latch and just install some aero catch hood pins, having never installed them before did some YouTube university classes and i was good to go. fair to say it is not a fun job at all from making brackets so the pins sit nicely and actually cutting through the bonnet but also being very scared of cutting the holes too big it took wayyyy longer than i would like to admit but finally got it there. Then it was time for a quick test drive to ensure the latches actually worked and thankfully the bonnet looked very stable. I still think paint matching the bonnet and leaving just the part that sticks up as carbon would help make it all look alot neater as im not sure how i feel about all that carbon on a very fridge white car but will leave it as is and see how i feel with time.
    • I think it's bound to happen, you finally get it all perfect, and bam, something will happen. I took a while to get a Commodore rear quarter repaired where a P Plater clipped it. Two days after getting it back, Sarah wiped it out on a concrete pillar in an underground car park... This is why I take forever to repair them, it stretches how long until it gets bent again... 😛
    • Nah, not really responsible for that little fiasco, but I'm still pissed at myself for writing off my 86, or when I reversed my VX into a pole just before selling it, but, meh, 5hit happens to stuff, all it takes is a slight distraction, and life is full of distractions, and "dooh" moments
