bubba
, i haven't had my 20 for a while, but from memory they should all stick the same amount out when you sit them in the holes. You can't really mess them up i think as they will bottom out, but seeing as you engine is in you might not be able to see properly Sussed it I think, there are a couple which will only have about 10mm of thread engaged but most are between 15-20mm and I checked the long ones in the head to see how far they will go in before bottoming out Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/358567-r32-collection/page/29/#findComment-5958732 Share on other sites

turboedsloth
RB 20 engines make me angry. Made for Japanese people with small hands Bah ridonkulous! Once you pull half the shit out of the bay you don't need and go high mount, you have enough room in there to dance around Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/358567-r32-collection/page/29/#findComment-5963183 Share on other sites
heller44
Agree with the above.. Try working on a 26 for a change with low mounts and hicas still installed, then you will have a point. Grifforelli
But why go high mount on a 20? Seems silly to me Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/358567-r32-collection/page/29/#findComment-5963372 Share on other sites

SimonR32
Agree with the above.. Try working on a 26 for a change with low mounts and hicas still installed, then you will have a point. Hicas pump is on the other side of the motor to turbos... Grifforelli
What sort of power were you getting Corey? Is it worth doing that instead of putting a 25 in? turboedsloth
I had 310hp with boost spike, unopened motor, gtr inj, ems and 6boobs mani, lasted 5yrs before i pulled it out for teh restoration. The 25 conversion is up to you really if you feel like you wana go that way. My old turbo setup is going onto a 25 in a 31. I was going to go down a stroked 25 route but changed my mind for the 26/30 which would have cost the same. The 20 is a great base to play with they just love to rev Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/358567-r32-collection/page/29/#findComment-5963624 Share on other sites
