I'm in the process of replacing my r33 gtst fuel pump with a 33gtr pump.

I've removed the stock pump, but was unable to salvage the little rubber isolator that slides over the positive terminal on the pump.

I'm not too keen on having a potential source of ignition inside the fuel tank, so where would i be able to get a similar one to do the job.

Cheers

Well petrol doesn't conduct so you don't have to worry about that - I guess you mean if something accidentally shorts it. You could get some fuel hose and slip it over, don't use tape or anything like that.

I meant if he accidentally bumps it into an earth as he puts it in and out. I know that you can't isolate it while submerged. rolleyes.gif

If someone installs a fuelpump with the battery connected and ignition on you deserve to blow up and burn.. but make sure a camera is recording for lulz :)

Its not a big deal. The walbro's come with a crimp. I thought that was unsafe but decided if it was, it wouldnt be floating in the fueltank.
