Fuel?

I'm new to the whole Japanese Import scene. I'm buying my first Skyline this weekend, canary yellow R34 GTT. Its fairly stock. Whats the deal with fuel? Dos and Donts? I see E85 talked about a little. Can i use E85 in it? And will it run on lower octane fuels?

Just put premium in it.. No less than 95.. Recommend 98.. If it's stock don't put E85 in it.. I wouldnt be putting in that E10 either..

Alright thanks. Out of interest, what is e85 for? I was of the impression that the series 2 ve commodores were practically the only car that used it.

nope. there cars are just factory tuned for it. it's a higher octane fuel.. 85% ethanol

Bigger injections, fuel lines and fully tuned to use it for starters. It's not cheap to do and It's not something you should be thinking about until your car makes over 300kw on pump fuel. Just use premium 98

There's a few threads detailing the conversion, do's and dont's etc in the turbo section. But it's an expensive process, hard to justify on a stock car
