GOLDEN THREAD

Pity Im not a betting man, dont bet, or Id lay down some on Heslo, just 'cause he might.

While I argue its unfair 'cause the borrower (Chef) can thrash it flat to the floor, give it back & have not a care in the world for consequences (big crash)... whilst the owner might drive 'not quite' flat out due to the nature of the beast, ie sentimental / personal value of the car.

In other words Chef can drive it 100% vs Heslo at 97.5%, always holding "just that little bit" back. In this instance Chef by a good half-second.

I see Chef setting the times and Heslo bettering his in his attempt to reach the golden 100% all-in threshold

If Heslo reaches this 100% spot for a lap he'll see 1.18.7's to Chefs 1.19.4's

Go Heslo. Give it some.

+1 with tangles comment.

i wouldn't let anyone drive my car at the track - let alone to beat my own personal records etc.

Luke has guts/trust/big balls for letting the Chef fang his car

theres alot of love/trust between the group of us. many a times swapping cars. theres not alot that can go wrong with the car, other than mechanically.

If you crash at Mallala curcuit racing, you'd have to be doing some stupid shit

This is a no brainer, one person owns the car and pays the bills for it, the other doesn't... it's like driving a hire car, use and abuse ;) Chef to go 1:18.99 vs Luke 1:19.55

Improved Production record is well below 16's now, Tony Wallis in his Mazda 808 has gone 1:14.97 - control tyre, width and diameter limited rim, and a mere 230ish rear wheel killerwasps.

Track day out there last year, tidy Datto 1600 destroyed - B pillars about half the distance apart than OEM. A daily driver STI, Integra R and another car I can't recall - might have been an FTO - all major damage, structural, fire wall, etc. A couple of them were minding their own business, wrong place, wrong time.
