Hello action-smiley-069.gif

I am new to this forum and my son is turning 18 soon and has had his heart set on buying Nissan Skyline for quite some time. Now that the time is drawing nearer, we are all searching for his first car and we want to make sure that the car he chooses is mechanically sound.

He is keen on an R33 and his budget at the moment is $7500. Could anyone here please advise the sort of things to look out for when lookiing at one of these and what are the likely things to go wrong with these sorts of cars.

He is currently looking at the following:

1:

1994 Skyline R33

asking $7500

140,000 Kms on the clock

5 speed manual couple

6 clylinder 2.5L

car has just lapsed registration and seller willing to provide a RWC

2:

1993 Skyline R33

asking $4200 (urgent sale)

204,000 kms on the clock

automatic

coupe

6 cylinder 2.5L

current RWC

The second one is not as "flashy" as the first one as the first one comes with neons, drift steering wheel and alpine system etc etc

Some advice/feedack would be great and/or any other suggestions on cars for sale within the price range would be great. We live in Melbourne

Thanks heaps in advance :)

Trish
