Dogy import CD decks

Since i'm here can any1 help me out

Don't know if any1 else had a similar prob.

I got a pioneer long face deck with my car and the effin! cd player won't play any cd's.

It had the fm conversion done and the tuner works fine.

I wouldn't have thought anything of it but my dad just bought an FTO and his deck is doing the same thing. It just spits out any cds u put in..be it burnt or original.

So i was wondering if any1 else had the same prob. with imported decks?

my 1st suggestion was to make sure the non re writable cd's some older styl cd players don't like em but as you said you have already tried originals....

has your dads fto got the same deck or same era deck? most good audio stores if ya drop in should be able to help you... ask em to bring out a cd that they normally use.. one of the techs should be able to help you.... as a potential client if something does go wrong they should help you......

Yeah i've been around audiocom/car audio ect...they all want $50 before they even look at it.

I've tried originals..many..cd cleaners.....so on

My dads is a panasonic..from memory.

The first cd i put in at the dealer( :devfu: ) worked..(funny enough)...then i drive out .. put in my cd and the thing throws it back...

double din decks, whilst they look the goods, are usually shit. for the price you'll pay ****ing around with a busted arse pioneer deck you can get an enty level.

ditch the brick and get a decent deck with 4v preouts and an mp3 player. you'll never look back.

Got the same problem with my Panasonic double din head unit just a POS. Goin to ditch it get a good normal headunit and have space for some neat looking guages
