just looked at the ebay one, it could be 4 inch. don't think it's trust though as I've never seen them with that type of round 5 bolt flange before. and most of the trust front pipes are the mx which are mild steel anyway. so it could be modified, or most likely is another brand all together.

Mine we certainly stainless, they went "off" as stainless does with heat.

But you are indeed right about 5 bolt, thats very odd.

Most 3.5-4" flanges I've seen are all 3 bolt, where 3" are 2

Yeah it is a very strange flange, the guy selling it assures me it is 3" into 4" and I will be sending it back if it isn't :)

I have settled on this behind Midori dumps, (76mm).

into 4" inlet with 5" body, then a 4" pipe all the way to the back.

Anyone with objections, speak now or forever hold your peace !

As far as a limit is concerned I'm not to sure, however being HKS they can't be that bad of a thing.

the issue is really that most split dump designs do not take advantage of their main design benefit over the bell-mouth type.

This being that the separated wastegate flow (via the split) is often reestablished a short distance downstream of the exducer which for one creates some of the turbulence you are attempting to avoid in the first place and two often creates a less then fantastic path for the exhaust gases to flow through given that there is often a pretty substantial angle where the split is reintroduced to the flow stream.
