hey guys

i am about to pick up my 260rs stagea that i recently put a hks step 3 rb28 into and because its no longer a "26" i had the RB26 ground off the front timing cover so i could put RB28 on it instead but i can't find what font the original RB26 was written in. so if you can help me out or point me in the right direction of where to look it would be greatly appreciated.

cheers daniel

Yeah that's what others have done, just take the top of the 6. Few of those getting around too.

A new cover would probably be easier time/cost wise unless its a DIY job...

OR... IF memory serves me correct, a jap mob made them? That might me another backup plan.

Or just have it say RB :P

While on this topic. How have people painted in the "RB26" to be a different colour than the rest of the timing cover? Very steady hand and a paint brush?

Also mine is a R34 GTR cover which was plastic, while the R32/R33 GTR ones are metal. With the plastic one, the lettering is actually pressed outwards and is hollow, therefore when you shave it you have to use a filler to cover the hole left behind. Do the metal ones have the same thing?
