Hi SAU forum members,

Been meaning to do this for about a month...

Just mooved back to newcastle nsw after a stint in WA and just bought my first skyline.

Its a mildly modified 2000 r34 gtr vspec with a few minor issues (e.g. busted awd, wiring issues and a defect or two) but still a great car.

The plan is to get the issues sorted and to do a track day here and there. In the mean time i hope to go on a few SAU cruises and meet some other skyline enthusists (nutters)

welcome.

please elaborate on "busted awd" lol

ahh...not working...lol

Not totally sure of the root cause yet to be honest. But the last owner's tuner assured me it was either the transfer box clutch or the high pressure oil pump that controls the clutch. Aparently it was imported in 2006 with the problem.

I'll be getting my mechanic to look over it once my daily arrives. In hinesite, i probally should have checked it out more throughly when i bought it. However i got a good deal on the car and will still be a good deal even if i have to replace the whole drive train (hopefully it wont come to that lol)

Either way, it made hitting boost in the wet interesting until i replaced the bald rear tyres(not from me!!!:whistling: )
