I wish i knew this a few weeks ago! nice shots man, they could probably use a little bit of fill light to help bring out some details and the car.

bird bird, bird is the word.

A few more on my site here: http://nextgenphotography.zenfolio.com/p971177582

Will go through the whole heap I have as soon as I get back to Perth

wow serg your work is always amazing! Love it. Shot number 3 is ace. the red ripple strip and the red bull are just in the right spots. i love it! So do you have media accred for these events? It's not often I see a fence in the way of your shots.

I've started putting wallpapers on my site. all desktops are 1920x1080. I'll update it once or twice a month (when ever I'm bored/have free time)

Wallpapers can be found here.

Cheers, cant wait to check out the shots on my proper screen when I get back to Perth, which if Jet Star has their way will be never... stuck in Singapore for now.

I have media access for all local stuff but not for F1, all those were normal spectator access, which gives very good views at Sepang

How'd you go sidd? What times you get?

Serg, frikkin awesome dude. Next year i'm following the F1 circuit for 3 rounds pretty sure. Just got to tee everything up.

Great work everyone! I got to get some time on my hands and take some photos of my own car! Although everything i have, matt has it hahaha.

you need to double check your focus man, it looks as though the car is a little soft too. is it soft on the file before you photoshopped the rest?

it's possible you killed the car in shop, also possible your picture host is killing your shots. not bad for a first go though, keep shooting and experimenting dude!

It would have been when I reduced the size of it. Just did a screen shot and saved it through paint to get the size down from 6mb to under 1mb lol.

Also the whole background is fake, it was actually taken near a carpark with people and trees in the background which ruined it. I always love those old grafitti style backgrounds but unfortunately we don't have those in Townsville, so I had to improvise :P

I put the background a bit out of focus to not make it not so obvious and then obviously took out the colour.

As I said it was a quick job that I did while bored because I liked the photo of the car, but not the rest. I just experiment with photoshop learning something new every time.

I don't really do photography or anything but would love to be able to so I do what I can for the time being :)

    • Isn't there a fitting on the back of the balance tube? That's what the OEM boost gauge uses.
    • Getting a decent signal from all 6 throats is a challenge. I don't know for sure, but I suspect that the stock balance tube is not ideal for it. I have done it on an ALFA 4 cylinder (about 35 years ago, so don't ask for too many details). We drilled 4x holes in the manifold runners, put in some fittings and ran hoses to a decent sized (I think it was about 20mm diameter) pipe that ran the length of the inlet manifold. So, it was quite a decent volume. There is a "tuning" balance to be found between the volume of the common plenum on such a thing and the diameter of the pipes running from it to the runners. You need the volume to be large enough to damp out the sharp spikes in pressure signal you get as each runner gets sucked on by its cylinder, but not so large that it becomes too slow to respond to actual changes in MAP. And you need the hoses to be small enough to transmit the signal quickly, but not so small that they delay the signal. You might have to have more than one go at it, if there isn't any actual success based wisdom to be had here. Hopefully there is. Anyway, I would not do it on only a couple of cylinders. I would also not care about "permanently modifying a part". Just bloody drill holes and make stuff better. There is nothing sacred about any GTR unless it is a genuine museum piece that you shouldn't be modifying at all anyway.
    • He's still joining you, he's just delayed it and won't have the fulleh sick ITBs...
    • The strange thing is this is a URAS front bumper (or clone of it). The bumper actually does not sit flush with the GTT hood - You need the addon to make the hood 'long' enough to reach the bumper. I have no idea why they didn't incorporate this piece into the bumper itself.. instead of sticking it to the hood instead.
    • Another thought on this OLD topic: When you paint your bonnet lip, leave a small unpainted back lip/line along the back of the lip, where it rests on the bumper. That way, the line in the back is much more prominent than the gaps in the front/under the lip - and it breaks the hood-to-bumper connection at the "correct" place, when comparing to a GTR. I'm gonna do this with mine this week, so stay tuned for pics!
