Id say its a faulty tacho, mine has the same problem when I turn the car on and its cold (works fine after a few minutes) it flicks around and sticks at about the same spot... am yet to find a way to fix it.

If you look at the boost gauge its making about the same amount of vacuum as they do when theyre idle, at those sort of rpm's it would at least be at 0 vacuum / 0 boost if not at least making a small amount of boost.

I would have thought a GT-R would be at max boost when revved to 8k... im probably completely wrong, but i am still pretty new to this turbo jazz hehe.

In neutral there is no load so the engine will still be in vacuum
