V35 Or Evo 9

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, first time here to the V-series Skyline section, I thought this would be the best place to get some views about a decision which may potentially become regretful. Well, I've been driving an 03 v35 (pearl white) for about a year now and have suddenly looked into evo 9. However, my gf hates the look of evo 9 (interior and exterior) she loves the V though.

what do you guys reckon?

cheers

You're gonna get a biased opinion from a skyline site when it comes to a choice like this.

Forget what your GF thinks. Do you like your V or do you like the EVO 9?

I picked my V (same vintage as yours but silver) because every man and his dog has a lancer.

V's turn heads and have more power then peole seem to think. But that was my choice.

Go take an EVO for a test drive and see what feels better for you.

Easy choice.

Evo 9

- Powerful - Turbo power (Although it's still a Lancer, it's a totally different car)

- Practical (4 Doors)

- Ready-made track road legal weapon

V35 coupe

- Powerful - 3.5ltr V6 power

- Luxurious and stylish

They are two totally different cars for different purposes.

My suggestion is go with your heart and lifestyle.

For me, Evo anyday, for fun, can park anywhere and don't care about any road conditions and track works. V35 anyday, for comfort and cruise in style. :)

in the same predicament, only i already have a v35. take both for a test drive and then decide. for me, the evo9 was great in all aspects except it still had the "tinny" feel of a lancer.

If fuel economy and long range touring with comfort is a factor the v35 is better at that. If you want a decent machine to take to a track day the evo9 is hard to beat.

evo is generally a better car but also costs alot more than any v35 in initial outlay and running costs think about that.
