Yep, another EPA-

Been pulled up In chaddy car park after cops followed me from princess hwy today and received an EPA over my exhaust....

How ever i got "no fine and no Demerits" taken....

Apparently this happens often but its the first for me.

What do i do now?

And does anyone have a stock exhaust i can buy or lend for and R33?

Thanks,.

So this has happened before and of course what are you going to do? your going to dodgy it up and then put that f**king retarded piece of shit too noisy exhaust back on so it will happen again, how about you grow a brain and get your exhaust done probably so it has good flow and is legal, i know its amazing but we have the technology to do it now :spank:

3k? Your shitting me right? Most of the time you just have to replace mufflers with something other than the useless jap shit that were built to be loud since they don't care about Vic pol!

nice way to welcome a newcomer by name calling

That's more accurate, in fact I insulted his lack of common sense.

yeah but why? how is it affecting you? wouldnt it be more respectable just to tell him nicely? why does it have to resort to insulting straight away? im kind of doing a study on behavior on the net so pardon the questions if you dont feel like answering.

mine is a 3" fujitsubo and has no bends it in. came over from japan and when i got done it was 90db on acceleration and 93db when i let go and the exhaust burbled. but other than that night ive had plently of cops check my exhaust level and say its fine. replacing the pod filter with the standard air box with an aftermarket panel has also made it more quiet but only by a little bit.

either way if u have an aftermarket exhaust im pretty sure its gonna be making more than 90db. my r34 with a stock exhaust made 87db on accel and 90 on the burble i might add

Hey darren.

Reasearch a bit about varex mufflers, type it into youtube, that might be what your looking for.

Remote controlled exhaust, when flap is closed, its factory quiet, when flap is opened, its loud and you get the performance out of it.

Altho not legal, but it will still save you lots of headaches if you know what i mean. Keep the neighbours and misses happy too which is a plus.

approx $400 plus installation.

Ah yes, I thought the same until I got EPA'ed for my Fujitsubo. 91dB on acceleration, 96dB on back-off (does the same burble you describe.) It may be quiet but you'll get done for it eventually.
