Just realised the dent on my car 10 minutes ago after I parked my car at work and I am feeling super gutted now! Worse thing is I don't know who the fcuk did this! Was at Chadstone shopping mall yesterday afternoon. Was at a mate's house last night parked on the street and was filling up at the servo on the way to work this morning.

Looking at the dent suggests that some kunts in a SUV open and whack the door on the side of my car. So this could have happened at the shopping centre yesterday arvo but since it was on the passenger side I didn't notice it when I drove away. Plus I was too excited to pay attention to my car after picking up a new phone. But whoever that farking did this I hope you crash into pole and break your arms and legs!!

Sorry for my rant and thanks for reading. Just have to let it out.....

Wonder how much it cost to fix this up?

Sorry to hear about that, Alvin. That's why I resist taking mine to any shopping centres.

Strange thing is, one of my friend's 350Z got a dent just like yours last week. :( He also reckon it could have come from opening an SUV door because his work got a lot of SUVs.

Good luck with fixing it up. I reckon it would cost around $250-$350.

Ouch! I hate damage like this! It's big enough to annoy the sh!t out of you but too small to lose your no claim bonus over!! I feel your pain!

+ 1 for taking notes on cars I park next to. Camera phone is a handy tool for this. However, such a minor damage like this would've hardly if even made a dent or scratch on the culprits door so it will be hard to prove. I feel your pain!

Sad event. I've only had my v35 for a year now, but have 2 dents now in my immaculate body (remember i'm talking about my car now...) due to parking in car parks. I'm always careful about opening my door when next to cars - I don't know why other %{:content:}amp;#'s can't do the same. That's why every time I drive into carparks I always park "strategically" i.e. park with passenger side to a column or against a wall (so driver's side of car on left doesn't open to your car) or park next to small car on left (same reason, but giving more space). Golden rule - never, NEVER, park next to a wank%r with a big 4 wheel drive - those guys typically don't give a rats! domokun.gif

That sucks! id be pissed

I have to park in a shopping center for work however I start early enough that im able to grab a park where no other cars can park side by side of mine so what happens to you doesn't happen to me

Before that at the last place I worked I would park between 2 other staff members cars so if I got a ding I would know exactly who did it

    • Yes...but look at the numbers. There is a tiny tiny fraction of the number of Joules available, compared to what is used/needed. Just because things are "possible" doesn't make them meaningful.
    • Thanks for taking the time to post that ! If anything changes or happens please do update us.
    • Somehow Vertimass/Oak Ridge National Labs has figured out a catalyst that can convert ethanol into C9-C10 hydrocarbons in basically a single step without ending up with a bunch of ethylene or similar waste products: https://patents.google.com/patent/WO2023224867A1/en I still don't think anything like this will keep us from needing to transition to EVs regardless along with all kinds of other electrification, but things like this will go a long way towards alleviating the problem of how to electrify things like planes. Renewable diesel is seemingly an easier problem as well, Chevron is already running refineries for the stuff and the primary feedstock is tallow and other waste fats from agriculture.
    • Ok so I have sorted everything with my uniclutch and  i can offer up a bit of feedback and some things that might help others.    I found problems with factory damper line. Weird shit and had trouble with peddle adjustment    I used this https://au.gktech.com/products/r33-gts-t-skyline-braided-clutch-line?_pos=2&_sid=22b01b9b9&_ss=r Also when adjusting peddle leave a bit of play. You can get into a over stroke condition easy.. Make sure you can push the slave forward after adjusting to confirm fluid can return to master then you will need to pump it up heaps…..not sure why but that’s how it is.    last thing the splined adapter is machined perfectly. If your input shaft is old like mine was I would put a bit of valve grinding paste on it and stroke it like a 15 year old. Just to give it a tad more clearance and to better match it to the spline.    reason is on a near flat shift I have had situation where the peddle returns a millisecond after you lift from the clutch. No slip or anything but I reckon this is due to tolerance on the spline being way tighter than stock clutch and binding for a sec. I think this will go away but also my spline was old. Box is old so I guess I should have checked better. It’s a super neat fit.    it feels light as and holds awesome without any noise
