R32Gts4 Misterious Smoke From Shifter

Hi there,

I have a r32gts4, i have noticed on long trips that there seems to be minor smoke coming up through the shifter, it honestly doesn't really smell like anything which is strange. I only seem to notice the smoke when the sun glares in the window. Just wondering if anyone has had this happen to there car and figured out what it was? The shifter seems to get really warm also, I was thinking maybe it may need a thicker oil in the gearbox, unsure what grade I should use though?

Any information would be muchly appriciated, wouldn't like it to have big gearbox issues

As above, common problem.. I've had this on my GTS4 as well.

Zip tie on the shifter boot fixes the problem, went on a road trip on the weekend and waited until it smoked a bit then zip tied it, all good now
